Moduline goes to the Indy 500

 The Indianapolis 500, also known as the Greatest Spectacle in Racing, features 33 of the most advanced cars in American racing competing at speeds exceeding 230mph. Calling this race demanding wouldn't even begin to describe the intensity of this race. Running 200 laps for a total distance of 500 miles, teams are required to prepare and scrutinize every aspect of their respective cars. The demand to have everything perfect is just one factor in finishing the race, never mind winning. For this reason, Panther Racing chose Moduline Cabinets to help organize their garage and work space at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

 Moduline sets up Panther Racing

The season has begun and Moduline is in full swing helping Panther Racing with their storage and tool box needs. Getting the headquarters shop set as well as the Indy 500 shop completed, both Moduline and Panther are busy.
By designing custom carts and storage cabinets along with our standard products, Moduline is tasked to make the shops some of the best looking and highly functional shops on the circuit. The carts will be used for many different purposes including storage of smaller specialized tooling and other parts for the Indy Car. They were also designed to be picked up with a fork lift and transported from race to race throughout the season. A cool feature of this cart being shown is the removable end cabinet that gets removed and transported to pit lane. It can then easily reattach to the cart and be used in the garage. Keep an eye out for more pictures including some that will have graphic wraps.

SEMA this year was great. Toe Kick or no Toe Kick? That is the question.

 The toe kick is a simple concept but so many people never consider this when purchasing storage or tool cabinets. To me, it seems obvious enough, but I guess it isn't to others so that's the reason for this blog post. Let's think about this. Those who have looked at, purchased, or are going to purchase cabinets have probably seen many different types and brands out there. On the base cabinets, I bet most are familiar with the four leg support style and more are becoming familiar with the hanging on slat wall style, too. OK, simple. That's what's out there. Here is a question: In what area of the home do you typically see the most cabinets? You're right, it's the kitchen. Now go into your kitchen and look at all your base cabinets. How many are just hanging on the wall so you can see under them? How many of them are being supported by legs? I am willing to bet that 99 out of 100 of you don't see either of these styles. Now ask yourself, "Why?" Would you really want to constantly clean under there? Would you want to be on your hands and knees reaching under should something fall off the counter and roll underneath? If you answered "No," then ask yourself why your garage or shop is any different. It isn't. We at Moduline know this not just because we are cabinet makers with a better concept, but because we are racers that have garages and a professional work shop, too. We know from experience. The toe kicks, just like the legs, are how you level the base cabinets. Each corner of the cabinet is fastened to the toe kick with a screw and shims are provided to level the cabinets. You simply raise the cabinet in the area needed for leveling. Slide the provided shim in-between the toe kick and base cabinet frame. The toe kick stays flush to your floor and any gap is hidden under the cabinet as the toe kicks are recessed two inches back from the cabinet face. It looks cleaner and more professional, provides support around the entire perimeter of the cabinet, hides the undersides of the cabinets, and restricts anything from getting under them, making cleaning much easier. The leg supports are almost an industry standard because they are cheap. The slat wall hanging style is actually more expensive and wasteful. You have to buy slat wall and much of it is unusable as it is hidden behind the cabinets. Barrett Jackson Auction in West Palm Beach, FL

 Back in January Moduline attended the Barrett Jackson Auction and Show in Scottsdale Arizona. This was the first time we were part of this series of auto events and have to say it will not be our last. We had a great time, met a lot of people, sold a lot of cabinets and will continue to be part of this series. Next week we will be attending the Barrett Jackson Auction in West Palm Beach, FL. This event is filled with automobile enthusiasts who appreciate quality as well as beauty. The attendees of these events have a deep appreciation for these traits and Moduline fits the bill perfectly. They understand that it matters what's in the garage. A Great Show! Barrett Jackson Auto Auction

 This month, Moduline displayed its cabinets at the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction in Scottsdale Arizona.
This was the first time as a vendor at this most prestigious event and rest assured it won't be the last. From January 15 through January 22, thousands gathered at Westworld in Scottsdale to buy, sell and some to just spectate at some of the coolest cars in the world. Many vendors were on hand (including Moduline) to also showcase their unique products. Where else can one go to buy a corporate jet, a wrist watch, hand carved statues, sunglasses and cars all in one place?
The show for Moduline was tremendous. So many people from all over the country stopped by the booth to admire and purchase what some called the most beautiful cabinets they have ever seen.
The Auto Country Club, a new high end garage condominium project, even came by and purchased our entire display booth (right off the floor) for the purpose of displaying our cabinets in their model showroom. The Auto Country Club will now offer Moduline Cabinets exclusively to their customers who purchase one of these amazing and beautiful garage units.
We'd like to thank those of you that came by and placed orders with us. You will be extremely pleased. We'd also, like to thank those who spent some time with us to learn a bit about Moduline and our cabinets. We look forward to helping you in the near future.
