Spring-loaded reels have been preferred by the majority of reel users for several decades and provide a proven and effective method of improving the safety, efficiency and economy of hose handling in many industrial and commercial applications. Spring-loaded reels are ideally suited in that the high quality drive spring winds as the hose is pulled from the reel, developing the power required to retract the hose when it is no longer needed. This simple yet effective design includes a latch to lock the spring tension during use, providing free use of the desired hose length. Spring driven reels require no outside power source to drive the reel during retraction, offering a cost effective reel to own and operate.
